23 year old male who suffered an open fracture of his small finger with a complicated wound on his hand in which he lost skin over the broken bone. In order to get his fracture to heal with minimal complications the fracture was fixed with a removable device and the missing skin was replaced by taking a composite of skin fat and the layer tissue surrounding the muscles of his forearm. After four weeks the patient had the removable device removed and he was able to return to work without any limitations.
